Airlines price routes, not distances.
Two flights through a hub city are often cheaper than one airline ticket for the whole trip. Most sites can’t show them because they don’t check visas.

What changes at the stop.
A Layovered route is two separate tickets, booked together. You pay once.
Being upfront: airlines don’t protect separate tickets, so if flight 1 is very late the ticket 2 airline doesn’t have to rebook you. That’s why every stop is at least 5 hours.
Ditch the waiting lounge. Explore the city.
Optional. On a long stop we show if your passport lets you leave the airport, and how long you really get.
New idea, fair questions.
The things people ask before their first Layovered route.
Is this safe? Why haven’t I seen this before?
Each flight is a normal ticket from a real airline, booked through our partner TBO.com. What’s new is combining them through a stop your passport allows; regular sites don’t check visas, so they can’t show these routes.
Do I need a visa for the stop?
We only use stops your passport and visas let you enter. By default that’s visa-free countries or ones with a visa on arrival; you can change this in the Layovered route settings.
What happens to my bags?
A Layovered route is two separate tickets. At the stop you pass immigration, collect your bags and check in again for ticket 2. Every route leaves at least 5 hours for this.
What if my first flight is late?
Airlines don’t protect separate tickets, so if flight 1 is very late the ticket 2 airline doesn’t have to rebook you. That’s why every stop is at least 5 hours.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. This website works on phones, and the Layovered app is on iOS and Android. It’s the same account in both.
